Stage Technologies has enjoyed working with the X Factor production team from Talkback Thames and Simon Cowell, on four series of the hit show.
For the latest series, two BigTow winches were used to open the six moving, high-resolution LED ‘reveal doors’, provided by Anna Valley Displays. These versatile LED displays are used to introduce both the judges and the performers and can feature ‘glamour’ shots of the acts, close-up camera shots of the acts or lighting effect patterns.
Four additional winches were used for specialist performing flying and aerial effects throughout the rehearsals and live shows during the series.
The winches and point hoists were controlled by a six-way Maxis control rack and an Acrobat desk.
